Last year, there was a bit of a transfer saga involving Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites had agreed a deal to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in what would have been a big boost for them after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White.
However, the Gunners pulled off an eleventh-hour hijack and everyone knows what happened next as Eze scored home and away in the North London derby to rub salt into the wounds of the Tottenham faithful.
And now, it appears as if another such situation is developing in the transfer market.
Arsenal interested in Tottenham target Victor Osimhen
We reported on Read Tottenham that Osimhen is a target for Roberto De Zerbi as he aims to add more quality to his attacking options.
And earlier today, there was a massive development in terms of his future. Galatasaray received a verbal £130m offer from Al-Hilal, which was swiftly rejected by the Turkish giants.
And now, The Telegraph report that Osimhen has been mentioned as a target for Arsenal and the Gunners and Gala remain in talks for the transfer of Gabriel Martinelli.
The Nigerian striker’s name has been discussed in the transfer talks, while Tottenham’s interest is well documented.
We’re not sure how the situation will develop in the coming weeks, but after Gala’s decision to reject a massive bid from Saudi earlier today, it looks like Osimhen will remain in Turkey for the time being.
