Tottenham Hotspur’s search for an attacker has taken an interesting twist today.
While a lot has been reported about Savinho, Cody Gakpo and others, it appears as if the Lilywhites have now decided to make a move for a former Arsenal striker.
Yesterday, we relayed claims on Read Tottenham that Spurs are a potential destination for Folarin Balogun, who has made a massive impression at AS Monaco.
And now, one of the most reliable journalists in France has confirmed that Tottenham have made their move for the USA international.
Tottenham step up Folarin Balogun pursuit
Arsenal sold Balogun in 2023 and since then, he has become a key player for club and country.
In fact, he even played a starring role for the USA at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and was Mauricio Pochettino’s main man in attack.
According to Loic Tanzi of L’Equipe, Tottenham have ‘made their move in recent hours,’ and the player is expected to cost around €60m.
Richarlison continues to underwhelm in front of goal and Dominic Solanke’s injury woes prove that he isn’t reliable, so this is a transfer that makes sense for Tottenham if they manage to pull it off.
And as we mentioned earlier, it may ruffle a few feathers in the red half of North London if Balogun ends up joining Tottenham.
