It’s safe to say Randal Kolo Muani’s loan spell from PSG last season was disastrous, to say the least, for Tottenham Hotspur.
The French international was expected to lead the line to good effect, but what happened was anything but that.
Kolo Muani struggled with injuries and even when he played, he looked like a shadow of his former self.
Tottenham understandably didn’t look to make his loan deal permanent.
And now, after he left PSG to join Juventus, the Frenchman’s comments on Tottenham won’t go down well with the Lilywhites faithful.
Randal Kolo Muani admits Tottenham failure
The French international said via Tutto Sport: “Tough year at Tottenham? It can happen in a player’s career, but I admit I was distracted by the desire to return to Juventus. I’m happy to be back here.”
For a senior footballer to admit his head was elsewhere is quite something, more so when you think about the fact that Tottenham only narrowly avoided relegation last season.
Kolo Muani featured a fair bit under Roberto De Zerbi, but once again, he fluffed his lines completely in front of goal, so it’s not hard for the Tottenham fans to believe that his head was elsewhere.
I guess it’s safe to say no one related to the club is losing any sleep after not signing him permanently this summer.
