Tottenham fans will absolutely love what Xavi Simons did during Getafe friendly

Xavi Simons is still recovering from the ACL injury he sustained during the back end of last season and is no closer to returning to action for Tottenham.

Since his move to the club last summer under Thomas Frank, the Dutchman has taken to the club very well and has become a fan favourite.

Simons struggled during his early days, but under Igor Tudor and Roberto De Zerbi, he started to show glimpses of his true potential.

He obviously didn’t feature against Getafe in the 1-1 draw yesterday, but what he did will only endear himself to the Tottenham faithful even more than he has already been.

Xavi Simons hosts family of young Tottenham fan who died recently

On July 10th, aspiring footballer and Tottenham fan George Dennis lost his life at the heartbreaking age of 11 following a road-traffic accident in North London.

After learning of his passing, Simons took to X to pay his respects to his family and even offered to host them at any Tottenham game of their choosing.

And he made that happen yesterday against Getafe as he posted George’s family in what was a touch of class.

No fans or media were allowed to attend Tottenham’s closed-doors, 70-minute friendly vs Getafe, but Simons hosted George’s mum, dad, sister and cousin and took them on a stadium tour after.

Class on and off the pitch, Xavi.
