Tottenham transfer news as new name emerges in attacker search

Georges Mikautadze in action, the forward emerging as a new Tottenham attacking target

Tottenham Hotspur are yet to bolster their attack this summer but have been linked with a host of names.

We’re tired of writing about the likes of Savinho, Cody Gakpo, Eli Junior Kroupi and Ferran Torres, so it brings us great pleasure to bring you a new name.

Roberto De Zerbi spoke about a transfer bomba two weeks ago, but nothing has happened since.

And now, Paul O’Keefe has thrown a new transfer target into the mix: Georges Mikautadze.

Tottenham in for Georges Mikautadze

O’Keefe wrote on X: “Georges Mikautadze among the names attracting interest from Tottenham as they look to strengthen their attack.”

The Georgian striker made an impression with clubs like Metz and Ajax, but the world got to see his talents at UEFA Euro 2024 when he delivered a string of outstanding displays for his country.

In fact, he took the limelight away from the likes of Giorgi Mamardashvili and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who were widely seen as Georgia’s biggest stars ahead of the competition.

He’s currently with Villarreal and scored 13 La Liga goals last season, becoming the most prolific new signing in Spain.

Mikautadze is a wildcard option and can play up front or from the right, making him one to watch between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
