€30m Tottenham target’s transfer falls through after failed medical

Fisnik Asllani in action for Hoffenheim, the striker linked with Tottenham whose move to RB Leipzig collapsed after a failed medical

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with innumerable attackers over the course of the summer transfer window.

In recent weeks, we covered a lot of news involving Fisnik Asllani. The Kosovan striker made quite the impression at Hoffenheim and attracted a lot of interest.

Asllani was one of Tottenham’s alternatives for Eli Junior Kroupi, who got injured earlier this summer.

Spurs didn’t bid for him, but Asllani agreed a deal to join Leipzig yesterday, after which a medical was scheduled.

And now, it has been confirmed that he will remain at Hoffenheim after complications involving his medical.

Tottenham target Fisnik Asllani fails medical

Hoffenheim wrote on their X account: “Fisnik Asllani stays with TSG

“TSG Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig were recently in talks about a potential transfer of Fisnik Asllani. This transfer will not take place due to medical concerns raised by RB Leipzig.”

Further details have not been revealed at this time, but this is clearly a blow for the young attacker as it’s never nice to have a transfer scuppered due to a medical.

Leipzig will not be signing the player and Hoffenheim have confirmed that he will remain at the club for the time being.

If Tottenham’s interest is genuine and long-standing, maybe they could consider a move later in the transfer window – provided all his well with Asllani.
