Tottenham transfer news as Alasdair Gold responds to shock £65m Chelsea attacker links

Nicolas Jackson celebrates a goal with Chelsea teammates

Tottenham Hotspur’s search for an attacker is ongoing, and so far, they haven’t had any luck in this regard.

In recent weeks, we have covered the Lilywhites’ interest in Eli Junior Kroupi, Savinho, Cody Gakpo and Ferran Torres in detail, among others.

In recent weeks, a handful of others named have also been thrown around, but there have been no concrete developments.

Earlier today, though, a rumour emerged that Tottenham could sign Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.

And now, Alasdair Gold has poured water over claims that the Senegalese striker could move to North London.

No Tottenham interest in Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson

Jack Rosser wrote on X that Jackson, who is valued at 65m, is a target for Tottenham and Aston Villa this summer.

“Tottenham are considering Nicolas Jackson as Roberto De Zerbi looks to rebuild the forward line.

“Chelsea striker, valued at £65m, currently in Hong Kong on pre-season and also a target for Aston Villa.”

That naturally generated a lot of chatter on social media and Tottenham fans were divided in their opinion of the potential move.

However, just a few minutes ago, the reliable Alasdair Gold posted a tweet on his X account that put those rumours to bed once and for all.

“Spurs not expected to explore any move for Nicolas Jackson,” wrote the Tottenham insider. Case closed, simple as that.
