Tottenham Hotspur are in desperate need of reinforcements in attack between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites have been linked with Eli Junior Kroupi and Savinho, but the latter will stay put for the time being due to an injury.
As for Savinho, Tottenham remain locked in talks with Manchester City, but the deal is no closer to completion.
Now, however, reports from Portugal claim they have tabled an offer to sign a player who they were linked with during the 2026 FIFA World Cup: Andreas Schjelderup.
Tottenham make Andreas Schjelderup offer
According to Portuguese outlet Now, as relayed by Bola na Rede, Tottenham have made an offer worth €45m plus €10m in add-ons to sign the Norwegian winger from Benfica.
The overall offer is believed to satisfy expectations, but the report states that the structure of the deal still needs some work in terms of bonuses.
Benfica prefer to receive €50m up front, with the rest coming in terms of bonuses, which looks like a problem that can be resolved in the coming days.
Tottenham have been linked with Schjelderup for a month now, with the Norwegian dubbed as a skillful player destined for the top by Chelsea icon Michael Essien.
They have finally submitted an offer for him, and judging by the reporting, this looks like a deal that will happen.
