Roberto De Zerbi’s ‘bomba’ claim has generated a lot of chatter on social media as Tottenham fans across the world wait to see which attacking players they eventually bring in.
The Italian has already made quite the impact at N17, breathing new life into the club and making as many as six new signings.
The Lilywhites, however, need attacking signings, and that was evident from the fact that they scored just six goals in four pre-season games.
And now, Turkish sources report that Tottenham want to sign Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray.
Tottenham want Victor Osimhen
Turkish journalist Erkem Konur, writing for Caught Offside, claims Tottenham have already made initial contacts to sign the Nigerian striker.
They are reportedly willing to offer Gala a fee of £55m, while the Turkish giants are holding out for at least £65m.
The report also mentions that personal terms will not be an issue, although the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are interested, which could drive up his asking price.
Osimhen as been described as a ‘complete’ striker by former Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti and would be quite the signing for Tottenham.
“Osimhen has these great flourishes of pace, determination and physicality; he is a complete striker,” said Spalletti via Football Italia.
If the Nigerian joins the club, De Zerbi will have a lot of quality to lead the line, with Dominic Solanke and Richarlison set to provide cover and competition for him.
