Tottenham attacker in advanced talks to leave after interest from 30+ clubs

Roberto De Zerbi is looking to fine-tune his Tottenham Hotspur squad after getting six new signings through the door.

The likes of Luka Vuskovic, Will Lankshear, Alejo Veliz, Alfie Devine and Radu Dragusin have left permanently or on loan this summer, while Yves Bissouma departed as a free agent after his contract expired.

There is also transfer interest in Mikey Moore, although Tottenham are yet to decide the Englishman’s future after his successful loan spell with Rangers.

And now, it looks like young striker Mason Melia has emerged as a wanted man as he prepares to leave on loan.

Mason Melia in advanced talks to leave Tottenham

The Lilywhites parted with around €2m to sign the young striker from Ireland in 2025, which is proof that he is rated highly.

And while he hasn’t made his competitive debut for Tottenham yet, he featured against Sydney FC in pre-season last week in the 1-1 draw.

Tom Barclay reports that Melia is set to leave on loan, with as many as 30 clubs across the world vying for his signature.

“Understand young Spurs striker Mason Melia is very likely to go out on loan next week,” wrote Barclay on X.

“I’m told 30+ clubs globally have shown interest in borrowing him, but staying in England and quite possibly the Championship is most likely.”

To add to Barclay’s information, Lilywhite Rose on X, a very reputable account within the Tottenham community, confirms that Melia is heading to Lincoln City on loan.

“Understand Mason Melia (18) is in advanced talks to join Championship side Lincoln City on a season-long loan deal,” wrote Lilywhite Rose on X.

“Best of luck, Mason.”

As is the case with most of these ITKs, we have to take their information with a pinch of salt. However, the original source of the Melia news is Barclay, who has been a reliable presence on X for everything related to Tottenham.
