After signing six players, Tottenham Hotspur are now focused on selling their out-of-favour stars.
During the back end of last season, Guglielmo Vicario was out with a hernia problem and hasn’t played for the club since.
Antonin Kinsky took his chance in the Italian’s absence and has made himself the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at the club.
Vicario was earlier linked with a move to Inter Milan, but a transfer never came to fruition.
And now, reports from Italy claim Juventus are also in the running to secure his signature, which has led to a change of stance from Tottenham.
Tottenham open to Vicario loan move
After their win against Sydney FC, Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that Vicario asked him to leave the club.
He was left out of their squad for their pre-season tour, which was a clear sign that a permanent departure was on the cards.
But now, Gianluca di Marzio reports that Tottenham are open to loaning Vicario amid interest from Juventus.
The Bianconeri are in the market for a goalkeeper and wanted Zion Suzuki. However, the Parma man is in talks to sign for PSG and it appears as if Juventus can’t match their offer even if he shows a desire to move to Turin.
Vicario, on the other hand, is open to returning to Italy. And with Tottenham now open to loaning him for a season, it remains to be seen if all parties involved work out a deal.
