Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer window has been an eventful one so far, but if they finalise their attacking move, it could genuinely be one for the ages.
Roberto De Zerbi confirmed last week that the Lilywhites will look to reinforce their forward line if the right opportunities arise.
Savinho has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, with the Manchester City attacker falling out of favour at the Etihad Stadium.
And now, he has asked to leave the club, which is undoubtedly a massive boost for Tottenham.
Tottenham target Savinho asks to leave Manchester City
Earlier this week, we reported on Read Tottenham that AC Milan have joined the hunt for Savinho, who is valued at around £60m.
The Brazilian international generated a bit of chatter on social media with his activity too, which excited a lot of Tottenham fans.
Savinho followed Sandro Tonali on Instagram immediately after his move to North London, which was a cheeky move that fueled speculation.
And now, in an exclusive update on his X account, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that he has officially asked to leave Manchester City.
“Savinho informs Manchester City about his desire to leave this summer.
“Savio wants to play more and develop in his career; #MCFC have been informed by the winger. All in Man City’s hands now.
“Tottenham have Savinho on top of their list as revealed since May.”
Things seem to be moving in the right direction for Tottenham. The player has done his part, so the onus is now on De Zerbi and co to begin formal talks with the Cityzens.
