Tottenham’s transfer window keeps ticking through the evening, with three separate threads worth tracking away from the confirmed business at Hotspur Way. Here’s the latest on Eli Junior Kroupi, Ibrahim Mbaye and Dejan Kulusevski’s recovery.
Arsenal reportedly move ahead of Spurs for Eli Junior Kroupi
According to Football365, Bournemouth are leaning towards selling Eli Junior Kroupi to Arsenal rather than Tottenham if they do cash in on the forward this summer, with the Cherries said to be holding out for a fee “well in excess” of £100million. TeamTalk carries a similar line, reporting that Arsenal have moved ahead in the race even as Spurs stick with interest built around an earlier £85million valuation from earlier in the window.
Roberto De Zerbi has already spent heavily rebuilding his defence and midfield this summer, and neither outlet suggests Tottenham are ready to match a nine-figure Bournemouth asking price. Marco Rose is understood to want Kroupi as part of his first Bournemouth squad, for what it’s worth, so nothing is close on any side yet.
Manchester City join the queue for Ibrahim Mbaye
Tottenham’s interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye now has fresh competition, with reports out of France via Le Parisien — carried by Yahoo Sports and OneFootball — claiming Manchester City have added the 18-year-old to their scouting list. Aston Villa, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also credited with interest alongside Spurs.
Mbaye made a name for himself at the World Cup, scoring for Senegal against France and becoming the youngest player to score for his country at the tournament. PSG are said to value him in the €40-50million range. It’s early-stage scouting interest rather than anything close to a bid, and Tottenham are one of several clubs credited with watching the situation.
Dejan Kulusevski’s rehab keeps trending the right way
Away from incomings, there was a welcome sight for Spurs fans as Dejan Kulusevski posted himself playing two-on-two basketball on his Instagram, driving off his surgically repaired knee more than a year on from the injury that has kept him out. Spurs Web reported the clip as further evidence that his long rehabilitation from a patella problem is continuing to progress ahead of pre-season.
Kulusevski has not featured competitively since suffering the injury and has had setbacks along the way, so there’s no fixed return date attached to the update. But with De Zerbi’s squad reporting back for pre-season training, every positive sign counts — and this is one of the more encouraging in a while.
Spurs’ interest in Kroupi has been a recurring thread through the window, much like the ongoing Cristian Romero valuation saga. Expect more clarity on both fronts, plus any concrete Mbaye movement, in the days ahead.
