At a glance:
- Tottenham interested in Brahim Diaz
- They are preparing a £22m offer
- Spurs need attacking reinforcements
Tottenham Hotspur need to strengthen their squad after successive underwhelming Premier League seasons.
While they won the UEFA Europa League last season, Spurs’ squad has shown major gaps under four different managers now. In fact, part of the reason for their poor performances has been a poor overall squad, which enhances the impact of any injury.
Attack is one area that Tottenham need to improve on, especially under Roberto De Zerbi. They are now looking to reinforce their frontline with the potential addition of Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz.
Tottenham could get Brahim Diaz for cheap this summer
Spurs have scored just 45 goals in 35 Premier League games this season. They have suffered massively due to injuries to the likes of James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Mohammed Kudus.
They need big improvements in their attack in the summer and it appears as if they are already working on solutions.
Fichajes.net report that Tottenham are interested in signing Diaz from Real Madrid this summer. The Moroccan attacker’s contract at the Bernabeu will expire next summer. Hence, Los Blancos could look to cash in on him in the upcoming transfer window.
The north London side are preparing a bid worth £22m to test the waters for Diaz. The 26-year-old can operate on the right wing and also as an attacking midfielder.
Hence, he could work well with the likes of Kudus and Kulusevski. Moreover, he is really quick, something that Tottenham’s attack is lacking.

Diaz has recorded 21 goals and 29 assists in 159 games for Real Madrid. He has largely been a substitute behind the likes of Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes. Hence, he could also look for a more prominent role this summer.
Alvaro Arbeloa labeled Diaz a ‘game changer’
Diaz had a terrible moment earlier this year, as he missed a Panenka penalty for Morocco in the AFCON final against Senegal, which they lost. After he returned to Real Madrid, head coach Alvaro Arbeloa heaped praise on him and said (h/t Fabrizio Romano):
“I’m very happy to have him, he’s a game-changer.”
Diaz has made 24 appearances for Morocco, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists. He has also won numerous trophies with Real Madrid and could bring his winning mentality to Spurs.

Moreover, Diaz has some experience of English football, as he came through Manchester City’s academy. He made 15 senior appearances for them, scoring two goals.
Hence, Tottenham might not even have to worry about him settling in the Premier League.
