Mason leaves White Hart Lane in a protective boot

Spurs midfielder Ryan Mason is feared to have picked up a knee injury in the clash with Chelsea after leaving White Hart Lane wearing a protective boot.

Mason went down in the 56th minute of the 0-0 draw and required treatment from the physios, however he could not continue and was substituted for Erik Lamela.

Spurs boss Maurico Pochetino has said that ‘he hopes that it is not a big issue’.

A knee injury ruled out the 24-year-old for four games earlier in the season, but has featured in every other game for Tottenham.

Mason has made 52 appearances for Spurs in his career, but has still made more appearances overall for the teams he was loaned out to in his youth. Mason has had spells at Swindon, FC Lorient, Yeovil, Donacaster and Milwall.

Tottenham Hotspurs’ next game is against West Brom next weekend, with Spurs currently on a 13 game unbeaten streak.
