Mousa Dembele is set to be offered a new contract, with his current deal only having 18 months left to run.
Dembele, who joined Tottenham from Fulham in 2012, has impressed his manager and fans alike with his performances in recent weeks, including a run of scoring in three consecutive games, which included scoring a superb winner against Anderlecht in the Europa League.
According to the Daily Mail, Daniel Levy is keen to enter talks with the player and his representatives as he does not want the player to enter the final 12 months of his current deal.
Dembele, who often found himself out of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans last season, has made the attacking midfield position in the team his own and along with the central midfield partnership of Dele Alli and Eric Dier, they have been able to form a strong core in midfield.
The Belgian midfielder, who has made 10 appearances so far this season and scored three goals, is understood to be willing to extend his stay in North London.
