Tottenham suffered their first loss in the Europa League this season after falling to defeat in Belgium at the hands of Anderlecht.
The match started brightly for Spurs, with Eriksen firing Pochettino’s men into an early lead as they looked to go to the top of the group after beating Qarabag and then drawing against Monaco.
However, Anderlecht had other ideas and were soon back level after Gillet scored an excellent volley.
As the game progressed into the second half, Spurs pressed for a winner and sent Dele Alli and Harry Kane on in the process. However, it would be Anderlecht who would take the lead and ultimately win after their top scorer this season Stefano Okaka slotted in with a little over 10 minutes left.
