Spurs starlet called up for England

Spurs youngster Dele Alli has received his first England call-up today for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania respectively.

The 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan to League 1 MK Dons, has been moved up from Gareth Southgate’s U21 side, where he has been putting in some impressive performances.

Alli got his first Premier League goal after coming on as a substitute in the draw with Leicester and has staked a claim to be included in first-team games.

He won last year’s Football League Young Player of the Season, beating fellow Premier League youngsters Patrick Bamford and Nathan Redmond.

He made 88 appearances for MK Dons, and scored 24 goals for them, 16 coming last season. Spurs signed him in the January transfer window last season, and loaned him back to MK Dons for the remainder of the season. He has made eight appearances for Tottenham so far this season, and made his European debut against Qarabag Agdam, getting an assist in the 3-1 victory.
