Tottenham reportedly sent a delegation of scouts to watch Schalke youngster Leroy Sane as he played in Schalke’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to Sports Witness, Spurs scouts watched the midfielder during Schalke’s 2-0 victory on Wednesday during which he came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute.
It’s not the first time Sane has been watched by Tottenham scouts, after a 12 million Euro bid was rejected by Schalke in the last transfer window. It is thought that they rejected the bid as they believe Sane will be worth much more than that in the coming years, whilst they also want to keep hold of their best players after letting Julian Draxler leave in the summer to go to Wolfsburg.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder, who has got two goals in eight appearances this season would join an ever changing Tottenham attack after Son Heung-Min and Clinton N’Jie joined the Lilywhites in the summer.
