A young Spurs XI ended their pre-season campaign with a win as they got the better of Teddy Sheringham’s Stevenage on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from teenagers Nathan Oduwa and Shayon Harrison were enough to earn Ugo Ehiogu a win against his former England teammate, who was appointed manager at Broadhall Way in the summer.
England U19 international Oduwa bustled his way through the host’s defence before firing from a tight angle with just seven minutes on the clock, but was stretchered off later in the half following a collission with Stevenage’s Charlie Lee.
Then in the second half, Harrison – fresh from last weekend’s hat-trick against Guingamp – converted from the spot after being brought down by the host’s trialist goalkeeper.
The victory calls time on a mixed pre-season for Ehiogu, who has seen his second string Spurs side win twice and lose four times.
His U21 side start their Barclays Premier League season against Everton next Monday.
