Kane and Lamela set for returns

Harry Kane and Erik Lamela are set for their first appearances of pre-season after being named in the squad that will face MLS All-Stars on Wednesday night.

The duo have had an extended summer break following participation in the UEFA U21 European Championships and the Copa America respectively, but are set to feature in Colorado.

Former Seattle Sounders player DeAndre Yedlin is also named in the 25-man squad following the conclusion of USA’s participation in the Gold Cup.

Defender Toby Alderweireld  will make his first appearance in a Spurs shirt after playing in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Brentford last week, whilst fellow summer signing Kevin Rimmer is also included.

With Hugo Lloris sidelined following a wrist injury, Mauricio Pochettino has also opted to take young goalkeepers Luke McGee and Tom Glover in the hope of determing who will deputize for Michael Vorm during the Frenchman’s absence.

There is no room for Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado or Vlad Chiriches however, with the trio set to complete moves away from White Hart Lane in the coming week.

Adebayor looks set to join fellow Premier League side Aston Villa, whilst Soldado and Chiriches are being chased by Sevilla and Galatasaray respectively.

Full Squad: Lloris, Vorm, McGee, Glover, Walker, Trippier, Yedlin, Rose, Davies, Alderweireld, Dier, Wimmer, Vertonghen, Fazio, Bentaleb, Winks, Dembele, Onomah, Eriksen, Chadli, Carroll, Alli, Lamela, Kane, Coulthirst
