Tottenham are ready to offer £10m for Nantes’ Jordan Veretout – according to reports in France.
L’Equipe are reporting that Mauricio Pochettino will make a bid for the France U21 International, who has also generated interested from North London rivals Arsenal.
The player’s agent is believed to have already recieved enquires from a number of Premier League clubs, but Daniel Levy looks set to sanction the first concrete offer for the central midfielder.
Should he move to White Hart Lane, Veretout would inject life into a midfield that is sparce of bodies ahead of the new season following the departures of Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Benjamin Stambouli this summer.
Since making his first-team debut in 2011, the 22-year-old has racked up 128 appearances for the Ligue One side, scoring a respectable 14 goals.
The player was also part of the French team that won the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2013, along with Paul Pogba and Geoffrey Kondogbia.
