Tottenham Hotspur finished their summer transfer window with ten new signings as Roberto De Zerbi overhauled his squad.
Towards the end of the window, in particular, the Lilywhites really put their foot on the gas as the likes of Savio, Omar Marmoush, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo joined the club.
The latter, in particular, was a surprise deadline-day signing from Chelsea as Tottenham scrambled to find a replacement for Kevin Danso.
And now, De Zerbi has heaped praise on Adarabioyo after his signing was officially confirmed.
De Zerbi lauds Adarabioyo’s Tottenham arrival
“Tosin is a strong, athletic defender who plays with confidence and understands the demands of playing at the highest level,” said the Tottenham manager via the club’s official website.
“I’ve also been impressed with his mentality and desire to be part of what we are building. He knows the responsibility that comes with representing this club.
“We’re very happy to have Tosin with us and I know our supporters will quickly see the qualities he can bring to the team.”
The Englishman has been around in the Premier League for quite a while now, having shown his class with his performances for Manchester City, Fulham and Chelsea.
Danso’s departure meant Tottenham needed another experienced defender in their squad, and the 28-year-old could prove to be exactly what the doctor ordered for De Zerbi.
