Tottenham Hotspur have made seven new signings already, but they could well bolster their ranks further before the transfer deadline.
Omar Marmoush’s move to North London is set to be confirmed soon, while Liverpool attacker Cody Gakpo has been reliably linked with the club as well.
Additionally, other names such as Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Rafael Leao and Amine Gouiri have been mentioned, although nothing concrete has emerged so far.
And now, reports from Italy have thrown another name into the mix: Igor Matanovic.
Tottenham interested in signing Igor Matanovic
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, the Lilywhites are plotting a late move for the Freiburg striker, who is also wanted by Manchester United.
The 23-year-old striker is seen as Mario Mandzukic’s heir for Croatia due to his heading ability and has seen his value skyrocket due to his performances over the past year.
Fiorentina’s interest is also mentioned in the report, with the Serie A side on the lookout for a striker as Moise Kean appears to be headed to Como.
Tottenham will likely add another attacker to their squad and if they can’t get a deal for Gakpo over the line, it remains to be seen if they press ahead with their interest in Matanovic.
