‘Break the bank’ – Tottenham transfer blow as fresh Marcus Rashford twist emerges

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to reinforce their attack this summer and have been linked with a host of players.

We’ve covered links with Cody Gakpo, Eli Junior Kroupi and Savinho extensively on Read Tottenham, while a handful of other names have also garnered interest.

Marcus Rashford is an interesting one for Tottenham. The England international looked destined for a permanent transfer to Barcelona, but the Catalan giants opted against signing him permanently as they instead moved for Anthony Gordon.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Rashford as a versatile attacking option. But now, reports from England claim Fenerbahce are ready to make a massive offer to secure his services.

Currently, Manchester United are planning with Rashford in their squad, with Michael Carrick set to reintegrate him shortly.

Rahman Osman reports that Fenerbahce are willing to ‘break the bank’ to sign Rashford as they look to compete with Galatasaray for the Turkish Super Lig.

Tottenham haven’t moved past their initial interest, which is a sign that they will not be making a move for him.

However, Rashford could be an intriguing option for Roberto De Zerbi, that is, if he agrees a salary that falls within Tottenham’s wage bill.

His Premier League experience and versatility will add another dimension to the Italian’s attack, but Tottenham need to move quickly as Fener are eager to get the deal done.
