Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the signing of Savinho from Manchester City.
The Brazilian was Roberto De Zerbi’s first-choice attacking target and the Lilywhites have finally landed their man after weeks of negotiations.
Savinho will wear the No. 17 shirt at the club and will be available for selection when Spurs take on Charlton Athletic in the second round of the Carabao Cup tomorrow.
And Roberto De Zerbi has been speaking about his new signing as he finally landed his man after months of transfer talks.
Roberto De Zerbi thrilled by Savinho’s Tottenham arrival
“Sávio is a player who brings energy, imagination and quality in wide positions,” he said via Tottenham’s official website.
“He has the courage to attack defenders and the ability to change a game with his creativity.
“We’re very pleased to have him with us, and I’m looking forward to working with him, helping him continue to grow and seeing him bring his personality to the team.”
Sporting Director Johan Lange confirmed that the Brazilian is a player they tracked for a long time before eventually getting their hands on him.
“Sávio is someone who has been on our radar for a while and I’m delighted that he is now a Tottenham Hotspur player,” said Lange.
“He has already shown his quality at the highest level, and we believe his ability, style and mentality will be a great fit for the squad we are building here.
“I know he will excite our supporters every time he gets on the ball and I’m looking forward to watching his development under Roberto’s coaching.”
