Tottenham Hotspur have already sent shockwaves in the transfer market this summer as they continue their preparations for the new season.
However, it appears as if Roberto De Zerbi is not done fine-tuning his squad, with further incomings and outgoings expected between now and the end of the month.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for Eli Kroupi Jr, but with Bournemouth standing firm on their valuation, it looks like they are now looking elsewhere.
Tottenham want Asllani and Tresoldi
As we mentioned earlier, the Cherries have no intention of selling Rayan, Kroupi Jr or Alex Scott this summer as the trio is seen as important players to their project.
This is where the Lilywhites are aiming to get creative in the transfer market. Tottenham are now keeping tabs on Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani and Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi to bolster their ranks in attack.
Both players made a massive impression last season for their respective clubs and are ready to take the next step in their development.
Only initial talks have been held so far, so it remains to be seen if Tottenham press ahead with their interest.
Roberto De Zerbi sends clear message to Tottenham players
De Zerbi has been speaking to the media as Spurs step up their preparations for the new season.
The Italian confirmed that Tottenham are not done in the transfer market as he signalled the need to make more signings despite already spending £237m on as many as six new additions.
And now, the former Marseille boss has sent an important message to his squad as they continue to be put through their paces.
“Every player has the chance to show me if they are serious and good enough to play in this big club.”
“The name and surname don’t matter at all when the ball is on the pitch.”
Richarlison linked with Juventus move
During the back end of last season, Richarlison once again showed his class during a relegation battle as the Lilywhites narrowly avoided the drop on matchday 38.
Dominic Solanke picked up an injury, so the onus was on the Brazilian to deliver, especially with Randal Kolo Muani playing arguably the worst football of his career at the club.
However, despite his exploits, Richarlison isn’t untouchable for De Zerbi at Tottenham.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus have opened talks with the Lilywhites to see if a deal can be struck, with the player valued at around €20m.
Time will tell if Richarlison is sold, but Tottenham will first look to sign an attacker before parting with their existing options, especially after already sanctioning a deal to sell Will Lankshear to Middlesbrough.
