  • Harry Kane won’t return to Tottenham this summer

  • England captain open to future Premier League move

Tottenham Hotspur have continued to be linked with a move for former fan favourite Harry Kane as they look to shape a new era at the club.

Under Roberto De Zerbi, the North London outfit have shown signs of life and will look to secure their Premier League status in the coming weeks.

The summer transfer window promises to be an exciting one for the Italian as he aims to stamp his authority on his squad.

And Kane, who is thriving in Germany, looks like he will remain there for the foreseeable future.

Tottenham return not on the cards for Harry Kane

The England captain was already among the best strikers in the world during his stint with Tottenham.

However, since moving to Bayern Munich two-and-a-half years ago, his reputation has soared among the wider footballing fraternity.

According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are still interested in signing the striker, who could be tempted by a return to the Premier League at some point in the future.

However, as things stand, he is well settled in Germany and is likely to sign a new deal to keep him at Bayern until the summer of 2028 at least.

The report also states that Tottenham will hope Kane returns ‘home’ one day, which is a sign that an emotional return to the club hasn’t been ruled out completely.

That said, the striker’s immediate future lies in Munich, pouring cold water over claims that he will return to England in the summer.

Kane will return to Tottenham someday

It goes without saying that the 32-year-old is the greatest Tottenham player of the modern era.

He didn’t win a trophy at the club, but his goalscoring exploits were absolutely unbelievable as he became one of the most feared strikers in the world in North London.

With 213 Premier League goals to his name, he is only behind Alan Shearer (260) in terms of goals scored in the competition.

Currently, he is focused on winning trophies in Munich and will also look to lead England out at the 2028 European Championships.

However, the all-time Premier League goalscorers chart will be on his mind, so don’t be surprised to see Kane return to Tottenham at some point in the future to rewrite the history books.
