‘Championship level’- Tottenham fans lose their minds as leaked 2026-27 kit emerges

At a glance:

  • Leaked 2026-27 third kit emerges
  • Tottenham fans clearly not in favour of design
  • Spurs could be in the Championship next season

Despite winning against Wolves last week, Tottenham are still in a spot of bother.

They find themselves 18th in the Premier League, two points below 17th-placed West Ham United.

Roberto De Zerbi has secured four points from his first three games in charge of the club, which is a creditable record for a side that has won just once in the competition since 28th December 2025.

With just four games to go, they could well be doomed to the drop despite their recent upturn in form.

And now, a leaked image of their 2026-27 third kit has emerged, and it’s safe to say Tottenham fans have now turned to self-depricating humour on social media.

Tottenham’s purple 2026-27 third kit

As seen in the X post below, it is allegedly a purple kit with stripes and the usual AIA logo. Nike, as always, are the shirt sponsor and the leaked image originated from Footy Headlines.

Tottenham fans have made their feelings very clear as most of them reacted angrily to the kit’s design and colour scheme.

@scorpionhorse19 wrote, “This obsession with clubs and new kits every season. They have no consideration for their fans’ pockets,” while another fan wrote, “Where is that Championship badge, baby! We’re going down.”

@Mickeytaker17 bluntly wrote: “Purple kits are always awful. That especially.”

Most of the fans are saying the same thing: Tottenham are doomed for the Championship and their alleged new third kit sums up the state of the club currently.

Tottenham still have time to avoid relegation

Sean Dyche feels Tottenham will get relegated as they’ve left it too late to make a comeback, especially with teams around them in flying form.

However, with four games left to go, anything is still possible.

Tottenham need to get two wins to stand a chance of survival, though. They travel to Villa Park on Sunday to take on Emery’s side, who could rest players due to their UEFA Europa League commitments.

Even if Tottenham get two wins, their destiny could be out of their hands. They need West Ham to drop points, which is possible as they have a tough run of fixtures.

May 2026 could arguably be the most important period in Tottenham’s recent history, for the right and wrong reasons. And if they lose on Sunday, the possibility of Championship football will loom large at N17.

matchday.
