- Maddison expected to feature for Tottenham this season
James Maddison hasn’t featured this season, but his recent return to the squad has been a massive boost for everyone involved.
The England international is still working his way to full fitness after his ACL injury and could play a part in the remaining five games.
Maddison was on the bench against Brighton but didn’t get any minutes. That was once again the case against Wolves as Tottenham secured a crucial 1-0 win.
After the game, the elegant midfielder took to social media to laud Antonin Kinsky for his performance at Molineux.
High praise for Kinsky
After his horror show in Madrid, the Czech goalkeeper wasn’t expected to feature for Tottenham this season.

However, Guglielmo Vicario underwent hernia surgery earlier this month and is yet to return to action.
Kinsky has started each of De Zerbi’s three Premier League games in charge of the club.
And it’s safe to say he has redeemed himself in some style after his error-strewn display against Atletico Madrid.
After the game, Maddison took to Instagram to laud the young goalkeeper. He wrote, “Brilliant mate, huge b*llocks to bounce back last few weeks. Showing your quality.”
Tottenham’s goalkeeping conundrum
De Zerbi confirmed that Vicario will return to action next week. Tottenham travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa and will expect to secure another positive result.
The Italian manager has an important decision to make. Does he stick with Kinsky, who has shown great character to bounce back from a tough spell? Or does he reinstate Vicario, who is working his way up to full fitness?

It would be harsh on Kinsky, but as things stand, it looks like Vicario will take his place back when fully fit.
Regardless of what happens, Kinsky has more than just redeemed himself. He made a fantastic clearance to deny Staurt Armstrong and topped it off with a last-minute free-kick save as the Tottenham players rushed to congratulate him.
As for Maddison, he has been part of the last two matchday squads but didn’t get any minutes.
With four games left to go, don’t be surprised to see him get some minutes in the coming weeks, especially after Xavi Simons’ knee injury yesterday.
