Tottenham Hotspur beat Wolves 1-0 at the Monlineux on Saturday to register their first domestic win since December 28.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side scored in the 82nd minute via Joao Palhinha. Both sides created some half-chances, but Spurs held on to secure a crucial win. However, they will remain in the relegation zone for another week.
West Ham beat Everton 2-1 at the London Stadium in a tight game. Callum Wilson scored the winner for the Hammers in the second minute of stoppage time.
Callum Wilson on relegation battle with Tottenham
Wilson scored the winner for West Ham in their 2-1 win over Spurs in January this year. He has now scored the winner against Everton, piling on the north London side’s misery.
After the Everton game, the West Ham striker opened up about the relegation battle and said (h/t BBC Sport):
“We’re the ones in the driving seat at the moment and if we take care of our own results, it should stand us in good stead come the end of the season.
“When the goal went in, it was a feeling of frustration, but when the eight minutes of added time went up I wanted to go and get that winning goal.
“The lads are buzzing. You do ultimately look at other results, we knew they [Tottenham] were playing a game in which they were the favourites, so we had to do our job,” he added.

Wilson has now scored six goals and provided one assist in 31 games across competitions for West Ham this season.
Tottenham win but remain in relegation zone
It was a strange matchweek in the Premier League relegation battle, as all three involved teams won. Nottingham Forest hammered Sunderland 5-0 at the Stadium of Light on Friday.
Meanwhile, Tottenham beat Wolves at Molineux and West Ham beat Everton at the London Stadium.
Hence, in terms of the positions and the points gap, the standings remained the same. Spurs are still 18th, two points behind West Ham and five behind Nottingham Forest.
However, it was a crucial win for Spurs, who were without one in 117 days.
