- Tottenham agree Senesi deal
- Transfer hinges on Premier League survival
- Complete agreement on free transfer
Tottenham are set to have an important summer transfer window as they aim to fine-tune their squad.
Roberto De Zerbi has been given a lot of influence in terms of squad planning and transfers, with his position at the club likened to that of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
Tottenham desperately need fresh faces to rejuvenate the squad, but they can only sign quality players if they preserve their Premier League status.
And now, they have received a massive boost on that front, having reached an agreement to sign Marcos Senesi
Marcos Senesi agrees to join Tottenham
Marcos Senesi has been one of Bournemouth’s most consistent players under Andoni Iraola.
However, after three seasons at the Vitality Stadium, he is set to move on this summer, much like his manager.
Tottenham’s interest in Senesi is well-documented and multiple sources have confirmed that he is likely to join the club.
And now, Florian Plettenberg has provided an update on the situation.

Tottenham are believed to have reached a complete agreement with Senesi on a free transfer, although the transfer hinges on securing Premier League safety.
If they manage to avoid the drop, the Argentine is set to become the first signing of the De Zerbi era in what could be a massive boost for the club.
Senesi in, Van de Ven out?
Senesi’s impending arrival could have a few repercussions at Hotspur Way.
Cristian Romero has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, while Micky van de Ven is wanted by Liverpool and Manchester United, among others.
Whether or not Tottenham remain in the Premier League, it looks likely that both Romero and Van de Ven will move on.
There is no doubt they are great players, but the time is right for a mutual separation.
Radu Dragusin has also been linked with a move to Fiorentina, which is a sign that a mass exodus at the back is on the cards.
Senesi’s arrival is certainly a step in the right direction, while Luka Vuskovic’s return from his loan spell at Hamburg could also be a big boost for the club.
Only the small matter of avoiding relegation remains now to get this deal over the line. No pressure, Tottenham.
