Tottenham suffered a bitter, late blow against Brighton as the two sides shared the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 Premier League draw in North London.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side produced a spirited display but walked away with only a point as they remain in the relegation zone.
The biggest talking point of the game was obviously Georginio Rutter’s late equaliser as he slammed the ball home from close range after being teed up by Jan Paul van Hecke.
Kevin Danso was at the heart of the crime scene and gave the ball away cheaply, which led to the equaliser.
And Gabby Agbonlahor’s candid reaction to the goal has taken social media by storm.
Agbonlahor says Danso cost Tottenham the win
Michael Dawson criticised Danso after the game, accusing the Swiss international of switching off at the end of the game.
To be fair to Danso, he played a good game, barring that last-minute aberration as he failed to clear a routine ball that led to the goal.

Agbonlahor was covering the game for talkSPORT and his reaction to Tottenham’s late suckerpunch can be seen in the video below.
“Clear the ball first time,” began Agbonlahor on talkSPORT.
“Honestly, mate, you’ve got two minutes left and you’ve tried to be clever and taken the touch. I just don’t get it. Hit that hard as you can and hit it to the halfway line and see it out.
“That is a Spursy moment. Kevin Danso has cost his team, wow. It’s tragic. These players would have been celebrating and would have probably done a lap of honour after the game.
“They’d have gone ahead of West Ham and also Nottingham Forest on goal difference.”
De Zerbi defends Danso
Danso and the rest of the Tottenham players were distraught after the game as they somehow managed to clutch a draw from the jaws of victory.
However, speaking after the game at a press conference, he urged the defender to keep his spirits up despite his costly error.

“Danso played another fantastic game, but the ball was with him,” said the Italian via Football London.
“He lost the ball and then we conceded a goal. But I prefer to make mistakes with the personality to play than to concede a goal without personality, without courage.”
“Now we need courage, now we need to win the games. And to win the games we have to be positive and to play football with the ball and not just stay to defend with 11 players and go on counter-attacks.”
Tottenham will need to regroup quickly as they face 20th-placed Wolves next week. And anything other than a win will leave them with a mountain to climb to save their Premier League status.
