Roberto De Zerbi will remain at Tottenham whether or not they suffer relegation from the Premier League.
The Italian signed a five-year deal at the club and will look to shape a new era, although his primary aim will be to steer them away from the drop zone.
Tottenham are currently 18th in the Premier League table, two points below West Ham United and three below Nottingham Forest.
If they drop down to the Championship, most of their international players will understandably look to leave.
However, if reports from England are to be believed, Tottenham have put their foot down, seemingly confirming that three players will be retained regardless of where they play next season.
Gray, Maddison and Gallagher will remain at Tottenham
Archie Gray has been Tottenham’s standout player this season and has played almost everywhere across the pitch.
The young Englishman has shown a maturity that belies his age and will be central to the club’s hopes in the future.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Gray, Conor Gallagher and James Maddison are regarded as ‘untouchable’ for Tottenham, although a firesale is expected that could shape the rest of the squad.
Spurs insiders believe the likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Xavi Simons are likely to depart if they suffer relegation, while a handful of others could also be on the move.
Earlier this week, reports emerged that Dejan Kulusevski will remain at Tottenham regardless of what happens, which is more good news for the club as the midfielder is a sublime player when fully fit.
Tottenham trio could shape De Zerbi era
Gray, Gallagher and Maddison have a wealth of experience in English football.
Maddison, though, hasn’t kicked a ball competitively this season, so a lot would depend on how well his ACL recovery goes between now and the end of the season.
Nothing needs to be said about Gray, who is undoubtedly Tottenham’s biggest asset and central to their plans.
As for Gallagher, he hasn’t delivered the goods so far after securing a January transfer to the club from Atletico Madrid. That said, he is highly regarded by the club and could yet be important to their hopes of avoiding relegation.

De Zerbi praised Gallagher during his first Tottenham press conference, with the midfielder starting against Sunderland.
He failed to deliver as Granit Xhaka ran the Tottenham midfield ragged, but it is unlikely he leaves after just six months at the club.
