Igor Tudor’s reputation continues to plummet as his winless run as Tottenham Hotspur’s interim boss continued in Spain.
Atletico Madrid secured a statement 5-2 win in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash as the North London outfit fell flat and looked devoid of answers on the grandest stage.
Tudor has lost each of his four games so far, with the club just a point above the relegation zone.
It’s safe to say fans and pundits have called for his sacking, and those claims only got louder after Tottenham’s embarrassing capitulation in Europe.
And now, former Spurs striker Mido has gone on a foul-mouthed rant on Tudor, describing him as one of the worst coaches around.
Mido brutalises Tudor
After the game against Atletico Madrid, Jamie O’Hara claimed that Tudor was out of his depth at Tottenham and called for the club to sack him immediately.
It’s not to say they lacked fight, but their performance was desperately devoid of any quality in attack, while they looked as open as they’ve ever been defensively.
Mido feels Tottenham should never have appointed Tudor in the first place, saying: “Whoever appointed Tudor must get the sack cause I’m sure he never watched Juventus under him!
“He is one of the worst coaches around! No tactics, no game plan and man-to-man management 0!
“Can’t handle the pressure and can’t deal with the media! Plz sack him today, not tomorrow!! No time for bulls*** anymore.. the club doesn’t deserve this sh**!”
Tudor running out of time
Despite their recent run, Tottenham have confirmed that Tudor will do his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Liverpool, which is a clear sign that he will be in charge for that game at the very least.
However, it goes without saying that he already has one foot out of the door as Tottenham are precariously close to the relegation zone.
In fact, they could well be in the bottom three before kicking a ball next, as West Ham United and Nottingham Forest play before them this weekend.
If Tottenham lost against Liverpool – which honestly looks like it’s going to be the case considering their recent form – it would be seriously negligent from the club’s hierarchy if they don’t sack Tudor.
Points on the board is what they need, so they must appoint an experienced head who can put his arm around his players’ shoulders and motivate them.
