Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for a massive summer in terms of their managerial situation and squad planning.
Igor Tudor is at the helm on a short-term deal, but Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto de Zerbi are in the running for the Tottenham job permanently for next season.
Nevertheless, transfer planning for the forthcoming season is believed to be happening behind the scenes as Tottenham look to bolster their ranks.
Nicolas Jackson is Chelsea’s forgotten man and has endured a bit of a lukewarm loan spell at Bayern Munich since his transfer was confirmed on deadline day in the summer.
And now, if reports are to be believed, he could be one to watch for Tottenham as he prepares to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.
Tottenham ‘extremely attentive’ to Jackson’s situation
Jackson has scored just five times for Bayern since his move to Germany and has largely played second fiddle to Harry Kane, who is arguably playing the best football of his career.
The Bavarian giants have the option to sign him permanently for £66m at the end of the season, having already shelled out a staggering £14.25m fee to secure his services on loan.
Considering his current form, they are unlikely to take up that option, so Jackson will return to Stamford Bridge when the season finishes.
TEAMtalk report that Tottenham, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester United are ‘extremely attentive’ to his situation, with the clubs having already courted him in the past.
Jackson’s representatives have been in touch with interested parties with one eye on the future. Internally, the situation has been described as ‘intense,’ indicating that the player will likely receive numerous offers.
Due to his lukewarm run in Germany, Chelsea are aware that interested clubs will be unwilling to pay top dollar for Jackson.
That said, they are also aware of his quality and are confident they can make a decent profit on him, having signed him for £32m in the summer of 2023.
Tottenham clearly need a striker
With Randal Kolo Muani set to return to Paris Saint-Germain when his loan deal expires in the summer, Tottenham are likely to add another striker to their squad in the summer to provide cover and competition for Dominic Solanke.
Keisuke Goto has been linked with a move to Tottenham, but the young striker is very much a rough diamond, so it remains to be seen if they firm up their interest in the coming months.

Jackson is still young and has two seasons of Premier League football under his belt. And while he did blow hot and cold during his spell at Stamford Bridge, he scored 31 goals across 80 appearances in all competitions.
That is a respectable record for a player who has his prime ahead of him, so if Tottenham can actually work out a good deal with Chelsea in terms of the transfer fee, Jackson could actually be a good purchase for the club.
