Tottenham Hotspur are ‘on the march’ and building a sense of stability at the club, says ESPN journalist Tony Evans.
Spurs travel to the Emirates on Sunday for a derby clash with Arsenal, but Evans believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s team are well positioned for the rival encounter.

The writer penned that boss Mauricio Pochettino and head of recruitment Paul Mitchell are working well together after being reunited from their time together at Southampton. The pair have brought several young players to the club, highlighting a transition in the club’s transfer business.
That has been evident on the field this season, with Spurs’ starting XI boasting the youngest average age in the 11 Premier League matches so far this term.

Evans did also state that Spurs lack the star quality which Arsenal possess, like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, but claimed it was to their benefit.
In the article for ESPN, Evans wrote:
Arsenal are at their best when given space and time. Tottenham will deny them both. Ozil, in particular, will be snapped at when the ball arrives. The German is uncomfortable against teams that close him down quickly. Spurs are built to subdue players like him
Although this may be the opinion of just one journalist at, Evans has certainly picked up on some promising signs for Tottenham fans. The lilywhites are becoming an energetic side that have quality in possession, and being the Premier League’s youngest side can only be a good thing.

To change the perception of Spurs to a greater extent, however, the team will have to prove that the current good form is more than just that. Granted, Tottenham have lost just once this season, but if they are to prove themselves as a side capable of finishing in the top four, this good run needs to continue. Only then will we know whether ‘Tottenham’s time is coming’, as Evans says.
