Spurs continued their pre-season campaign with a friendly against Peterborough United at London Road this afternoon.
A number of young established Spurs players took to the field against a strong Peterborough United squad.
The Posh featured a number of trialists in the last 30 minutes of the match, where they made a ten man change to see out the 90 minutes.
Spurs were first to find the net as they converted from a corner just ten minutes into the first half, but the goal was disallowed as goalkeeper, Ben Alnwick fell victim to a foul within his own box.
Spurs continued to push the Posh in the first half with promising runs and play throughout the whole midfield.
In the 26th minute Peterborough’s number nine, Gormley scored from 10-yards to make the score 1-0.
The half time whistle blew and Spurs made a number of changes. This saw U20 World Cup winner, Miloš Veljković come on for Miller.
Just two minutes into the second half and Peterborough found a second as a mistake was made in the Tottenham back four allowing Connor Washington to slot home at ease.
Spurs managed to grab a goal back in the 58th minute through Shayon Harrison as his powerful shot found its way under Alnwick into the bottom left corner.
The 60th minute saw Peterborough make a ten man change allowing them to try out a mixture of familiar faces, trailists and youngsters for the upcoming season.
After a slow build up Ismail Azzaoui showed a burst of flair in the 78th minute when he robbed Newell on the byline, and managed to work his way into the box slotting home from an angle he had created.
With the score at 2-2, both sides had it all to play for but Peterborough came out victorious in the 88th minute as Vassell found a yard of space and fired a low shot home off the post.
The final whistle blew followed by a roar from the home end as Spurs fans flooded out of the terraces. Tottenham played well and didn’t deserve to go home unrewarded.
