In recent weeks, Richarlison’s name has made headlines for all the wrong reasons at Tottenham.
The Brazilian was linked with a deadline-day move to Everton, but the deal fell through at the last-minute.
After that, most of the European leagues’ transfer windows slammed shut, but despite that, he was the subject of an offer from Trabzonspor.
And finally, Vasco da Gama looked like they would get him but were unable to get the deal over the line, as Tottenham can’t loan more than six players out to other clubs across the world.
In the meantime, he was left out of Tottenham’s Premier League squad, which was a clear sign that he is well and truly out of the project.
And now, Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that the Brazilian striker will not play vs Liverpool tomorrow.
Richarlison will not play for Tottenham vs Liverpool
“Richarlison you already know. Nothing changes for the Carabao Cup, Premier League. Nothing has changed,” said the Italian in his pre-match press conference.
When asked again if Richarlison will feature tomorrow, the Italian simply responded, ‘No.’
Over the years, Richarlison scored some important goals for the club and was also an important part of the squad that dragged Tottenham out of the drop last season.
The situation could have been handled better by everyone involved, but the sad reality is that he has already played his last game for the club.
