It was another sobering Premier League night for Tottenham Hotspur as they played out a 0-0 draw against Everton at home.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are winless in the competition this season and are also yet to score a goal, which is a worrying sign for the Italian.
The Lilywhites got off to a good start as Savio looked dangerous on the right flank. They created a lot of chances but were unable to make it count.
And Mark Schwarzer believes their first-half frailties in front of goal let Tottenham down on the night.
Tottenham failed to make good first half count
“The biggest disappointment is the way Tottenham played in the first half,” said Schwarzer via the BBC.
“The intensity, the opportunities they created just without any end product, without shots on goal.
“The second half was a little bit more muted. The subs definitely made a big difference; it was more proactive.
“Some decent shots on goal but just not able to get that goal. It was a more positive performance for Tottenham.”
Spurs are a work in progress, but not scoring in four Premier League games is surely a cause for concern for De Zerbi.
