Tottenham Hotspur are set to take on Everton tomorrow in what promises to be an intriguing game of Premier League football.
Much of the pre-match coverage has involved Richarlison, who has been frozen out of their Premier League squad after his failed transfer to Everton on deadline day.
Since then, Spurs have turned down bids from Trabzonspor for the Brazilian, who now wants to terminate his contract to facilitate a move to Vasco da Gama.
And now, Roberto De Zerbi has provided a straightforward response when asked about his Tottenham future.
The writing is on the wall for Richarlison at Tottenham
“I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s not my job,” said De Zerbi via Football London.
“All I can say is that I know what the club has done for Richarlison and what Richarlison has done for the club in the last few months.
“He knows, his agent knows, the club knows, better than you [the media]. Much better.”
The Brazilian will be remembered fondly for always fighting for the club, so it’s sad to see his time at the club come to a bit of an unceremonious climax.
It remains to be seen if Richarlison gets his move, but he has already played his last game for Tottenham by the looks of it.
