Tottenham made ten new signings during the summer transfer window as Roberto De Zerbi overhauled his squad.
In terms of attackers, the Lilywhites left it late to sign players as Savio, Omar Marmoush and Mykhailo Mudryk joined the club late in the window.
While the latter came on as a second-half substitute against Nottingham Forest last week, Savio and Marmoush started but couldn’t impact the game.
And Michael Dawson feels the Brazilian’s end product, in particular, really let him down at the City Ground.
Michael Dawson slams Tottenham attacker Savio
Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, Dawson criticised the Brazilian’s final ball, describing his end product as “nowhere near good enough”.
The young attacker scored a goal and recorded an assist on his debut vs Charlton Athletic. He missed the game against Newcastle United a few days later with a muscle injury and flattered to deceive vs Forest.
However, it is still early doors for Savio at Tottenham as he’s only been at the club for just over three weeks now.
We can see where Dawson is coming from, though. If Savio wants to justify his price tag, he needs to be able to notch up 10+ goals across all competitions this season.
