‘Of course’ – Roberto De Zerbi challenges Tottenham new signing to improve

Tottenham made ten new signings in the summer transfer window as Roberto De Zerbi aimed to overhaul his squad.

Attacking reinforcements, in particular, arrived late in the window as the likes of Savio, Omar Marmoush and Mykahilo Mudryk were signed in the last two weeks.

Savio has already scored for the club and Mudryk is still working his way up to full fitness after his lengthy ban.

As for Marmoush, De Zerbi feels he is a useful player but challenged the Egyptian to deliver the end product for Tottenham this season.

“Meeting, watching, analysing together with the players,” said De Zerbi when asked how his attackers can improve.

“Also, I think, winning the games, because, you know, the confidence, the enthusiasm, it can be crucial to find the right decision.

“But I love these players. I spoke now about Marmoush. But Marmoush, we have to analyse if he has, or not, 15, 12 goals.

“I think, yes, because he has all the qualities, enough to score that number of goals. He has to improve, of course.”

Marmoush is still getting to grips with the Italian’s system, but Tottenham need him to deliver as quickly as possible as they only have a point from three Premier League games so far.
