Tottenham player gets phone call from Mohamed Salah to join Trabzonspor

Tottenham Hotspur endured the most eventful transfer window in their history as they overhauled their squad under Roberto De Zerbi.

Ten new players joined the club and a handful of notable names departed permanently, while a few young players were sent out on loan.

The transfer window is shut for Premier League clubs, but it is open in a few other countries and leagues, meaning players who belong to English sides can still be allowed to leave.

And that could well be the case with Richarlison, who was left out of Tottenham’s Premier League squad as speculation surrounding his future continues to dominate the back pages.

Richarlison poised to leave Tottenham for Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor are ready to sign the Brazilian international, who recently fell out with Tottenham after they tried to flog him off to Everton in a deal involving Iliman Ndiaye.

ESPN Brazil report that Mohamed Salah – Trabzonspor’s main man – has made a personal phone call to Richarlison to convince him to join the club.

The Lilywhites have removed Richarlison from their Premier League squad, which is a clear sign that they are open to a sale.

However, we can’t help but admit the situation has been played out poorly by De Zerbi and the Tottenham hierarchy as they have appeared to force him out of the club.

Richarlison played a big role in saving the club from relegation last season and has conducted himself with utmost dignity and class during his spell at Tottenham.

A player like him deserves more respect, but it looks like his spell at the club is unfortunately drawing to a sad climax.
