‘Concrete’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham’s shock move for Chelsea player

Tottenham still have a lot of work to do to finalise their squad before the transfer window slams shut.

With just over 24 hours to go before the deadline, Roberto De Zerbi’s side remain locked in talks to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, while a few players have also been linked with departures.

Kevin Danso is a player who could leave the club before the deadline. Sunderland want to sign him and the experienced defender is keen to move on to take on a new challenge.

And now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Lilywhites are plotting a shock move for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo as his replacement.

Tottenham want Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea

The Italian wrote on X: “Understand Tottenham are working on a deal to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea.

“It’s a concrete possibility discussed today if Kevin Danso leaves Spurs.”

Adarabioyo is an experienced campaigner and has already played for two London clubs in Fulham and Chelsea.

His London tour could well be set to continue, but it remains to be seen if the Blues agree to offload him at this stage of the summer.

Adarabioyo would also count as a homegrown player, so if Danso leaves, it would free up a non-HG spot for a new signing, be it Ndiaye or someone else.
