Tottenham have already made seven new signings during the summer transfer window and are expected to add 1-2 more players before the deadline.
Their latest arrival, Savio, starred against Charlton Athletic yesterday as he came off the bench to record a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win in the Carabao Cup.
Tottenham have also agreed a deal to sign Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, with the deal expected to be confirmed this week.
And now, Enzo Maresca has appeared to confirm that the Egyptian will, in fact, be leaving the Cityzens this month.
Maresca confirms Marmoush will leave
“I think Omar is set to leave,” said Maresca in his pre-match press conference.
“It’s not done yet, but we are waiting for that. Probably, he’s going to leave.”
Marmoush featured for the club as they were beaten in the FA Community Shield by Arsenal, while he was an unused substitute when the Cityzens beat Bournemouth last week.
The Egyptian will become Tottenham’s eighth signing of the summer and it remains to be seen if Tottenham add to their squad after his signing is confirmed.
They have been reliably linked with Cody Gakpo, while other names such as Matias Fernandez-Pardo have also been mentioned.
