Tottenham fans will absolutely despise supercomputer’s latest Premier League prediction

Tottenham endured a torrid start to the 2026-27 Premier League season as they fell to a 3-0 defeat against Brentford.

Goals from Keane Lewis-Potter, Vitaly Janelt and Michael Kayode gave the Bees a commanding win at the Gtech Community Stadium as the Lilywhites were comfortably second best.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side were missing key players, but they struggled across the pitch and didn’t have any answers to Brentford’s high press and energy.

Their opening-day defeat was a sobering one, to say the least, as Tottenham fans had high hopes for the new season after their spending spree.

And now, to make matters worse, an Opta Supercomputer has delivered a rather grim prediction on Tottenham’s final Premier League position.

Tottenham tipped to finish 12th in the Premier League

Tottenham’s spending spree will be well over £350m when deals for Savinho and Omar Marmoush are confirmed.

And naturally, that comes with a weight of expectation to deliver and De Zerbi knows that well.

Ahead of the season, a lot of fans and pundits predicted Tottenham to make a push for the top six spots at the very least.

However, after the manner of their opening-day defeat, Opta’s supercomputer predicts them to finish 12th after 38 matchweeks.

Strangely, it would be an improvement from the past two seasons, but if you told any Tottenham fan ahead of the new season that they would be finishing 12th, it’s safe to say they’d have all been fuming.
