Tottenham attacker ready to leave after Roberto De Zerbi tells him he’s not needed

It was an unhappy first Premier League outing of the season for Tottenham Hotspur as they suffered a 3-0 defeat against Brentford.

Their frailties in attack came to the fore as the likes of Richarlison, Mathys Tel and Mikey Moore flattered to deceive at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Tottenham are in talks to sign Omar Marmoush and Savinho from Manchester City and the duo would add some much-needed firepower.

However, they could also be set to part with Richarlison after Roberto De Zerbi made a crucial decision on his future.

Tottenham ready to sell Richarlison

Earlier this summer, De Zerbi admitted the Brazilian was undecided on his future.

But now, it appears as if the Tottenham manager has made it clear that he is open to Richarlison’s departure.

Nico Schira wrote on X: “Richarlison is ready to leave Tottenham this summer. The Brazilian striker is no longer central in De Zerbi’s plans.”

Richarlison was linked with a return to Everton, but the Toffees are yet to make a move for him.

A lot could change between now and the end of the transfer window as teams usually scramble to get deals over the line just before the deadline.

Richarlison has made some important contributions for the club, but he just hasn’t proved to be consistent enough to be relied on, so if the right offer comes along, it might make sense to mutually part ways.
