Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make at least two more signings before the transfer window slams shut.
Talks are ongoing to complete deals for Savinho and Omar Marmoush, while another attacker could follow the pair amid links with Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo.
In terms of outgoings, there could be some movement too.
However, Lucas Bergvall’s future has finally been decided after Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that he will remain at Tottenham this season.
Lucas Bergvall will stay at Tottenham
Earlier this summer, Bergvall asked to leave the club and was wanted by Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Newcastle United, among others.
Tottenham rejected multiple bids for him as they took their time to decide his future.
Bergvall continued to feature regularly in pre-season and showed his class with a string of eye-catching displays.
And now, ahead of the game against Brentford, De Zerbi has confirmed that the Swede is happy to stay after changing his mind about leaving.
“Lucas Bergvall, 100 per cent [he is staying]. We spoke a lot in pre-season. He’s a top player, a top potential player. I like that he stays but I think now he wants to stay and we have no problem,” said De Zerbi via Alasdair Gold.
Bergvall endured a tough 2025-26 campaign, but during his first season at the club, he was Tottenham’s Player of the Season and could go up another gear under De Zerbi.
It would have been a pity to lose such a bright young talent like him, so this is a huge boost for the Lilywhites.
