Tottenham fans will absolutely love Roberto De Zerbi’s Mohammed Kudus claim

Mohammed Kudus is yet to feature under Roberto De Zerbi and has spent the best part of this year on the sidelines.

After suffering a thigh injury in January, he last featured for the club under Thomas Frank.

Igor Tudor only lasted a handful of games and De Zerbi spared the club’s blushes in the relegation battle last season as Tottenham found a way to get the job done without Kudus.

And now, ahead of the new season, the Italian has provided an update on the former West Ham United man.

Kudus could return for Tottenham soon

Kudus suffered an injury setback towards the back end of last season and also ended up missing the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He didn’t feature at all in pre-season, which raised doubts over his fitness.

And now, De Zerbi reveals Kudus is fully fit, with Tottenham erring on the side of caution due to his long-term injuries.

The Italian said about Kudus in his pre-match press conference, “Very close, but we’ve considered he hasn’t played for a long time and we can’t take a risk with him, especially at the beginning of the season.”

The Ghanaian can play out wide and also as a No.10, making him one of the most talented players in the current squad. And if he’s fully fit, De Zerbi is going to relish the prospect of working with him, that’s for sure.
